A Mathematics “Nobel Laureate” in Bocconi for the Milan Interviews - 10th July 2025, 4.30PM, Aula Magna Gobbi

Cédric Villani, Fields Medalist in 2010, will close the 2025 Mathematics Colloquium Milano (MCM) on July 10, at Bocconi University. This event, jointly organized by Università di Milano, Politecnico di Milano, Università di Milano-Bicocca and the Department of Decision Sciences of Università Bocconi, aims to bring contemporary mathematics into the scientific and cultural spotlight. Villani, a renowned mathematician and former French National Assembly member, will deliver a lecture titled Scientific and society challenges behind the confusing power of artificial intelligence, exploring the intersection of mathematics, artificial intelligence, and societal progress. The event emphasizes the broader impact of mathematics beyond academia. Participation is free, subject to availability.
