The Decision Sciences department hosted his first Pi Day!

Elia Bruè, with Aaron Naber (Princeton IAS) and Daniele Semola (ETH Zurich), has won the Frontiers of Science Award 2025 from the International Congress of Basic Science (ICBS) for their work on fundamental groups and Milnor’s Conjecture. They will receive the award in July 2025 in Beijing.

Professors Alessandro Pigati and Elia Bruè have been selected as members of the EMS Young Academy (EMYA) for the 2025-2028 term.

Professor Piero Veronese, a pioneer in Bayesian statistics, has been named Professor Emeritus by Bocconi University and the Italian Ministry of Education. With over 40 years of academic excellence, including leadership roles and groundbreaking research, his legacy continues to inspire the field.

On December 9th, Bocconi hosted Dynamic Equilibria, a unique event featuring ballet dancers from Teatro alla Scala performing on the Aula Magna stage. Organized by our Department, it explored the deep connections between art and mathematics through dance, music, and immersive visuals.
