Professor Elia Bruè and Research Team Honored at International Congress of Basic Science
We are pleased to announce that Professor Elia Bruè and his research team have been awarded the prestigious Frontiers of Science Award at the International Congress of Basic Science in Beijing, China. This esteemed event, held from July 14 to 26, celebrates significant achievements in various scientific fields.
Professor Bruè was recognized for his groundbreaking work on the paper "Non-uniqueness of Leray solutions of the forced Navier-Stokes equations," co-authored with D. Albritton and M. Colombo, and published in the Annals of Mathematics in 2021. The research demonstrates the existence of two distinct Leray solutions with zero initial velocity and identical body force, living on the borderline of known well-posedness theory.
